Animals and beasts
Every time I open my feed, I shudder more and more as I read and see some truly inhumane, terrifying news. Reasonable people in Israel are already openly writing about the general brutalization of the population and attempts to dehumanize those they consider enemies.
These few warned that the general mass obsession with executions and ethnic cleansing would not end well. But few listened.
And now they've even reached animals. Dogs, cats, and sheep. A few days ago, Israel was rocked by a monstrous scandal involving the beating of a dog by an Israeli settler in the West Bank. And then, utterly inhumane footage emerged of sheep being run over and beaten on a farm. I can't and don't want to post such horrific videos; if anyone wants to watch them, find links in the comments. But I warn you—it's hard to forget.
Sem Khashansky from Be'er Sheva, southern Israel, writes:
"What kind of day is this?! Will this nightmare ever end?! People are completely losing their minds, I'm just in shock...
This is the end: another crazy teenager threw a heavy rock at a cat's head in broad daylight!
People, animal cruelty has been off the charts lately, it's scary to read the news. First, the internet was abuzz with the savage story of a dog named Lucy, yesterday everyone was horrified by a deliberate attack on sheep, and today, a new viral trash. Some teenager from the settlement decided to have some fun and threw a huge rock with all his might right at the head of a defenseless cat in an Arab village.
The comments under the video now read: "Stop dragging animals into your idiotic human squabbles! What are they guilty of?!"

Kan newspaper: A dog beaten in the village of Atara (Judea and Samaria) has been taken to Haifa for treatment; police are investigating the incident.
This happened in the village of Atara (near Ramallah, Palestinian Authority), where a man with his face covered was filmed brutally beating a tethered guard dog.
The PA claims that an Israeli carried out the attack on the dog. The dog's owners also claim this.
The dog, named Lucy, an eighteen-month-old Malinois (Belgian Shepherd), was taken to a veterinary hospital in Haifa for treatment. Lucy's owner told Kan that an Israeli animal rights activist came to pick up the dog overnight.
According to him, Lucy suffered injuries all over her body, including damage to her head, paws, and teeth. The poor dog miraculously survived! Her treatment will take a long time.
The dog's owner claims the attack lasted more than ten minutes: "He hit Lucy on the head, on the legs, and broke her teeth. There was blood everywhere—we were sure she was dead, but only later did we see she was able to stand up."
According to the dog's owner, family members filmed the incident from inside the house and did not come outside because they feared the attacker would harm them too. "Today they beat our dog, and tomorrow they'll beat my son or his wife. We want the police to protect us too," he told Kan, suggesting that the attacker was trying to kill the guard dog in order to break into the house.
The dog's owner claims to know the attacker—the same man has previously thrown stones at animals and attacked people.
In an interview with Haaretz, the dog's owner asked that his name not be published for fear of retaliation. Lucy was used as a guard dog, protecting the house. "She was not free, she did not attack or bite him," he said. The man watched what was happening from inside his home, because, according to him, the Israeli military instructed residents: if they want to document attacks by settlers, they should do it from home.
Journalist Evgeny Finkel was outraged that the owners did not rush to protect their dog. They watched from behind the door and filmed it. But the fact is that the new DEATH PENALTY LAW is aimed precisely at those Palestinians who are resisting in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), and people who are resisting and actively defending their homes and their dog risk being charged with terrorism. So they were afraid to do anything.

The death penalty law for I. Ben Gvir just came into force literally the day before yesterday, and yesterday Ben Gvir already attacked the Sumud flotilla moving towards Gaza and with the help of batons and stun guns forced people to their knees, face down on the floor, which caused a huge Outrage and protests against this attack and cruel treatment from numerous countries.
Ben Gvir's video provoked a response from countries whose citizens were aboard the boats in this flotilla carrying humanitarian aid. The foreign ministers and heads of government of Italy, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, and other countries protested and summoned the Israeli ambassadors in their countries to deliver protest notes. Voters of Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, Smotrich, and others, in numerous comments, called the Italians and other citizens of these countries "biotrash," "slime," "jackals," and other cutesy terms. One woman even wrote a poem about this "slime from other countries."
Could anyone have imagined, even a short time ago, that the people of the Holocaust, who were exterminated with the words "this is an undermenschen" (literally, "humanity"), would now allow themselves to do such things?
Those with strong nerves can watch videos of Israeli settlers attacking sheep. Those with weaker nerves should avoid them. Video in the comments.
